The year is 20XX. Due to the mass-scale war that happened decades ago, the world has been devastated. Humanity barely survived, but they have managed to live together optimistically in a time of ruin.
A young man by the name of Asuku, who has a penchant for anything mechanical, struggles to live on. Utilizing his abilities as a mechanic, he passes the time creating helpful machines from abandoned spare parts as he helps with the reconstruction of society. One fateful day, as he digs through the debris of a nearby town, he finds a half-broken female android lying within. She turns out to be a rare type of android, owned only by those lucky enough to get their hands on it. The temptation of the android's rarity and well-designed modeling leaves him eager to take it back to his house and repair it... Along with his desire to tune it to his preferences.
